Led Zeppelin II (Remastered)

Led Zeppelin II (Remastered) – FREE from Google Play

We like Freebie Thursday just as much as Freebie Friday even if it doesn’t have the same alliteration. Classic Rock will be king for the next couple days starting with Led Zeppelin II (Remastered) being offered for FREE by Google Play. You’ll get great songs like Whole Lotta Love, What Is And What Should Never Be, The Lemon Song, Thank You, Heartbreaker, Living Loving Maid (She’s Just A Woman), Ramble On, Moby Dick, Bring It On Home, but no more as we just listed all the songs on the album Yes, it is that good. If you do not have this one in your album or even if you are missing the remastered version, click now and nab it.

Greatest Hits by Heart

Album Review:

It would be difficult to think of great women in Rock without thinking about the Wilson sisters of Heart. These hall of fame rockers have some great hits from the 70s including Barracuda, Crazy On You, Straight On, Magic Man, Heartless, Dog & Butterfly, and more. While you won’t find their hits from the late eighties or more recent, this Greatest Hits collection has some great ones and is currently one of the many $5 albums available on Amazon.

Adventure by Television

Album Review:

The band Television formed in the 70’s and has influenced both punk and alternative styled music. Their second studio album Adventure was released in 1978 and then remastered in 2003 and added four tracks. In part due to distance from when the album release, Adventure has received pretty high praise in recent years with standout tracks that include Glory, Days, Careful, Ain’t That Nothin’, and more. This is one of many new $3.99 albums to be made available from Amazon in the past week.

Adventure by Television

Album Review:

Listen to some Television this weekend. The rock band Television that is. Check out their second studio album release (1978) Adventure featuring Glory, Days, Foxhole, and more. Aptly named for its deviation from from their debut, they dared to try a different sound, Adventure is a post-punk gem and one of the featured $3.99 albums right now.

Judith by Judy Collins

Album Review:

We are starting the week off on a lite folk foot. Judith is not only Judy Collins twelfth studio album, it is also her best selling to date with stand outs like The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress, Song For Duke, Houses, Born To The Breed, Send In The Clowns, and more. It’s OK if you chuckled when reading the song Send In The Clowns, Judy’s version is one of the best known covers of that song but still part of a great album from this timeless folk singer. Yet another decent album discounted to $3.99 this month.

Welcome Back My Friends To The Show That Never Ends… by Emerson, Lake & Palmer

Friday, February 20th, 2015

Album Review:

How about a concert this weekend? May we suggest a live recording from the early seventies? Welcome Back My Friends to the Show That Never Ends… Ladies and Gentlemen by Emerson, Lake & Palmer is their highest charting album in the US and features almost two hours of music. Included are various sets that include favorites like Jerusalem, Tarkus, Still… You Turn Me On, Lucky Man, Karn Evil 9, Hoedown, and more. Note: This album does not use studio overdubs so you may hear a little feedback, leakages, and echo for that realistic feel. Just one of the many available $5.00 albums this month.

Funk Power 1970: A Brand New Thang by James Brown

Album Review:

Want to keep that Valentines spring in your step? Maybe you need a little extra funk. Funk Power 1970: A Brand New Thang represents a time in James Brown career in which most of his band left and were replaced by a group that included Bootsy Collins and went on to record some of the best funk ever put to record. This release features many of the full length versions for a whole hour and eighteen minutes of music.
